U.S. SEC Greenlights First Stock Exchange Focused on Sustainable Investing. “The Green Impact Exchange (GIX) is about to make history. It’s set to become the first U.S. stock exchange focused only on companies that care about the environment and long-term sustainability. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved GIX to register as a national securities exchange, giving it the green light to begin trading in early 2026. This move comes at a time when sustainable investing faces some challenges.”
