FOR
IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Promoting
September 18 and November 27, 2004 workshops.
(Limited distribution -- particular business and financial media.)
Investing for the Soul Workshop
Empowers Investors
Toronto, Ontario --
"This is the only workshop I
know that shows investors how to easily integrate their inner
values with investing," says Frank Miotto, a successful Toronto
financial advisor.
"Envisioning the
Future for Profit & Fulfillment," is an extraordinary new
workshop being offered in Toronto, on September 18, and again
on November 27, by Investing for the Soul. The workshop
provides investors with unique tools that help them to define
and apply their specific spiritual, ecological and other
cherished values to investing decisions.
This workshop
accomplishes its goals as its participants peer into the future
economy, revealing industries which reflect higher human values.
By the end of the six-hour session, participants have created a
personal 'big vision' investment picture that imbibes their most
prized values. They can then
take this vision to their investment advisor and transform it
into a real investment portfolio.
Incorporating our prized values in investing does not
mean sacrificing investing profits either.
Using Morningstar ranking data,
The Social Investment Forum (U.S.) showed that mutual funds
applying social and environmental screening criteria
consistently outperformed mutual funds generally in the years
2001 to 2003. Similarly in Canada, the screened Jantzi
Social Index has usually outperformed its unscreened Toronto
Stock Exchange index equivalents since it's formation in January
2000.
Typical of the remarks of participants who have taken this
workshop are those of Marsha Lecour, an educator. She says,
"This was the first workshop that I have attended that has
provided me with a basis of investing financially for the soul
-- this is a very timely workshop."
Studies in the United States by MMA Praxis and from GlobeScan in
Canada, show that the vast majority of investors want their
investment portfolios to reflect their personal values. Yet,
most investment advisors and financial planners fail to bring-up
the subject of personal values with their clients. In part, this
could be because they are usually ill-equipped to engage in such
discussions.
As Frank Miotto says, "I
highly recommend this workshop for both investors and investment
advisors alike. Advisors should take it to better service their
clients."
Again, the workshop is being offered twice in the fall of 2004
in Toronto -- on September 18 and on November 27. Sessions
run from 9:30am to 4:30pm, at the Novotel
Toronto
North York Hotel, 3 Park Home Avenue (at Yonge Street), North
York, Ontario, Canada. Fee: if paid three weeks before workshop
date, CDN$89 (plus 7% GS Tax), thereafter CDN$119 (plus 7% GS
Tax). Fee can also be paid in U.S. dollars. Apply now at
http://investingforthesoul.com or call 705-635-3034.
Investing for the Soul
was founded by Ron Robins on May 4, 2003, in
Toronto, Ontario,
to help
investors
bring their higher values into investing decisions.
Since then several successful pilot workshops were offered prior
to launching "Envisioning the Future for Profit & Fulfillment"
in 2004. Two additional workshops are in preparation. They are
"Successful Investing Demands Higher Spiritual Consciousness,"
and "Finding Investments for Superior Profits." Mr. Robins is
also working on a book with the title, "Investing for the Soul:
Investing for Superior Profits and Spiritual Fulfillment."
